The Fast Passes at the Disney theme parks are all free. But, as previously mentioned, there's a limit as to how many you can get at one time. Generally, if you get a pass, the soonest you will be able to get a pass for another ride is 30-40 minutes after your most recent pass. So, you have to wait a while but it's easy to manage because not every ride has a long line. While you're waiting for your pass to be valid you can wait in line and ride other rides.

Here are some rides that you will definitely want to get Fast Passes for:
Space Mountain
Buzz Lightyear
Peter Pan
Winnie the Pooh
Big Thunder Mountain
Splash Mountain

These are some rides that usually don't have long lines (and that you can ride while waiting on your Fast Passes):
Haunted Mansion
Pirates of the Caribbean
Jungle Cruise
People Mover
Teacups
It's a Small World

Hope that helps.

They are free and you can get them at any of the parks, but only on certain rides. The list of attractions that carry them are on the park map/ schedule. There is only a certain limit per day so most of the popular attractions, i.e. Everest, Soarin', Peter Pan, etc., go really fast. Make sure to go directly to the most popular rides first, especially during the summer times, or else the wait could be hours long and there are none left.
You use your park ticket and insert it into the Fastpass machine. Out comes a ticket with 2 times on it. They are an hour apart and that is when the Fastpass is valid. Return to the attraction at that time and you are let into a shorter line. You can only get them a few times a day and at the bottom of the ticket is when the next Fastpass is availible.

A fastpass is available at the major rides. You go up to the fastpass machine and select the time that you want to ride the ride. The catch is that fast passes may not be available for the next 15-30, which means you have to get one that isn't good for another 45 minutes or so.

Then you stand in the fast pass line instead of the regular one.

They are free - and very worthwhile.

The fast pass at Disney is free (Universal charges $15 for their Express pas).

You can only get one fast pass for a certain time period. It will tell you on the pass when you are able to get another one. For instance, if you get a fast pass for Rockin Rollercoaster for a return time of 10am (when you actually go back to ride the ride), it will say something like 'next pass available after 11am'. So you could possible get a pass for the Tower of Terror, or just wait until the pass you have expires.

Be sure to get fast passes for the rides you want to go on because they DO run out!!!

I would recommend fast passes for the following rides:
Magic Kingdom:
-Peter Pan's Flight (fast pass for sure, the line is always long and takes forever to get through!)
-Space Mountain
-Buzz Lightyear (lies can sometimes be long for this)
-Splash Mountain

EPCOT:
-Soarin'
-Test Track (can have long lines)
-Mission Space

Animal Kingdom:
-Expedition Everest
-Dinosaur (lines sometimes bad)

MGM:
-Rockin Rollercoaster
Lines at MGM aren't too bad. You can get your fast pass for Rockin Rollercoaster (RR) then go ride Tower of Terror. Lines for the Tower go fast. By the time you are off Tower, you can go straight over to RR.
May want to get a fast pass for the shows. The shows are excellent. Highly recommend The Extreme Stunt Show and Indiana Jones!!
Be sure to get over to Who wants to be a millionaire... it closes in August, the 19th I think.

Free, you just put your ticket into the little machine at the attraction entrance, and it will give you a slip of paper with your fast pass return time. It will be an hour window.

The fast pass is FREE. you insert your ticket into a machine at the ride, it spits out a slip of paper telling when to return to the ride.

I believe they charge for them at Universal- we never use it. just use the single rider lines when you can.

I'm pretty sure they're $15-20 per person. It may be more or less around that figure, but I know for sure its not free. If they were free everyone would have one and they'd be useless LOL
