losing and gaining fat isn't the issue. oh and does the male goat, billy, have to be away from the baby and mom, daisy. cuz male rabbits will hurt the babies so i am wondering if i need to seperate them!

Are you sure your billy goat is an intact male? Does he reek with that infamous cologne, "eau de buck"? does he curl his lip, stomp his foot, and huff?
Goats will generally have a heat cycle that lasts one or two days every 18 to 21 days. The heat cycle usually only occurs from late-August until mid-March. The heat cycle is characterized by uneasiness, riding other animals, shaking the tail, bleating, etc. After breeding, the gestation period (time from pregnancy until birth) is approximately 150 days for dairy goats. Look for signs of heat in your nanny to tell if she is pregnant.
Goats require a clean bed(area, stall,) of straw when kidding

Pregnant does often still have a lot of energy, depending on the number of kids and time of gestation. Can you feel her ribs? If not, she's fat. Do her thighs jiggle when she walks? If so, she's fat. Or is it just that she has a huge belly? Good dairy goats have large barrels and chest capacity, and so do pregnant ones. A good dairy goat looks like she's pregnant all the time. Male goats can mate as early as two months, if they can reach the doe, and if the doe is in heat. Most goats are not in heat this time of year. Feeding- well, what are you feeding her? She should have good hay, free choice, and not too much grain if she's not pregnant. If she is, a pound or two of grain.

Are we talking about goats or rabbits...I'm confused. In your second additional information it sounds like you may be talking about rabbits since you say that they need to be seperated.

I would highly suggest that you do your research on goat breeding and caring for goats before you decide to actually breed. They are many problems that can occur and if you are not prepared for them, you could lose the doe and the kid(s).

If she did have a baby you would see the baby goat. They do not make nests, mostly small animals make nests. And if what she eat depends if shes fat or not then I would say there a small chance she's pregnant.

PLEASE consult a vet. Failing that, get a good book on the care of goats from your library. Or check on the Internet. If Mrs. Goat was preggers, she would not "suddenly" get skinny.
