I do not recommend killing mice. If you wish to get rid of a mouse, humanely trap it, take the mouse outside and release it, remove all food it could be eating there and seal up all ways it could be getting in.
If you don't remove the food and seal up the entries, you will have a constant battle. Why do that? Seriously.
I use a Mouse Master. It has a windup spring and will trap a few mice at a time. You can see when you have caught them.
It is worth the few dollars. Mice are very valuable creatures in the whole of this world. Do not dismiss them. Likewise do not let one live with you. They do attract snakes.
I have raised mice.

Here is a trick that worked for me. Take an empty jar (mayonnaise jar something like that). Place a piece of wood or something to make a ramp up to the opening of the jar. Place some food in the jar (peanut butter works great for mice). The mouse climbs in after the food but can't get out. We have caught quite a few doing this. Good luck.

have a cat or dog? mouse traps really should work if you put bread or cheese or peanut butter orr something on it. if this doesnt work . then start shooting. jk . u would probly ruin the building! u could always try catching it but that way of killing it is kind of disturbing to talk about. u could also use mouse poison. it is like green the eat it and die. if u have kids around make sure they cant get to it though! hope this helps!

Sticky traps usually work. Put them EVERYWHERE. You can also get poison traps- they eat the poison and then go off and die somewhere. Or you can borrow someone's cat and let it roam around the garage for a day or two. (remove all traps first)

How big is it ..if it is a large rat you can get him with a pellet gun but the old fashion way is the best if its a mouse..get the cheese and place it in the tiny hole of the NEW mouse trap..not alot just so he can see it...and try to get to it..... he will go for it they are such curious varmits...and then you will catch him..place it in back of a washer or behind a lawn mover...i know you can get him

Use the cheese mouse trap to catch it. don't use poison... because it may die inside a wall. You have better choices of killing a mouse once it's caught.

Lay out a piece of cheese with a box with a string over it. When the mouse eats the cheese, pull on the string to catch it, then feed it to a snake... or just use a sledge hammer.

Pick it up by its tail, and slam its head on the concrete. It is a humane way, believe me.
If you cant do that, go get mouse bait, often these have cyanide in them so it will die.
