cc means "carbon copy" and bcc means "blind carbon copy." say you are writing to your grandfather, telling him news of your vacation and you also wanted to tell your aunts & uncles. Then you would cc the aunts and uncles. But if you didn't want your garndfather to know that you also told your aunts and uncles, then you would bcc them and he would not see who else you sent it to. the first recipient sees the cc people, but can't see the bcc people

Blind Carbon Copy and Carbon Copy. It means that it'll send copies to whoever you put on that particular list. Blind just means that nobody on the list can see who else it whas sent to.
