I am not suggesting there is just one personality type who enjoys this site, but I am suggesting that there's probably 4-5 very specific personality types who do. What got me thinking about this is the fact that (for example) my best friend is NOT the sort of person who would ever come here and ask a question, would NOT find it entertaining or fulfilling to answer other people's questions, and would NOT find it interesting just to surf here and see what other people are talking about. Neither would my husband. Me, on the other hand, can't go a single day without logging in here. What are the personality types YOU think enjoy a site such as this? I'm curious.

The unemployed, students, trolls, the lonely, the bored, the disaffected, addictive personality types, show-offs and know-it-alls... and me! :-)

Personality types to me would be the introverts who have answers but are afraid to give them in public settings face to face with someone and would rather help someone without having to see them. Obviously it is never a very extroverted person because those personality types cannot sit at a computer long enough to do anything. LOL.

a person who thinks that what they have to say really counts. I think the people here have to have a certain amount of pride in their ideas. Probably social type people, who are curious about the world, but maybe without the perfect social life in the real world.

I like it becuase I want to give advice, and crazy people want it! And I get a kick out of being "right" when I get the best answer. In "real life" I refrain from advising unless asked, and real people don't ask all that often, because who wants to have someone else tell them how to do something? I just like being able to tell people what to do because I know more than them. Especially when I have one question to figure them out. Cheers! :)

One type might be people who are not people persons. Like me, I'm not a people person so I go on the computer. Sometimes, I'd rather be on the computer than out with people. I'm just not really that outgoing.

Maybe people:
-are bored
-want to share their knowledge
-want to feel smart
-want an outlet
-have the tendency to give advice
-have secret problems
-just want to explore this as an opportunity to meet their future gf/bf
