Not. Dreadlocks are the worst thing possible to do to your hair. If you don't like it, then shave your head and donate it so some seven year old with cancer who will actually appreciate it can make use of it instead of advertising that you don't shower.

I can't say it enough. Look, if you're going to get dreads then do it. Don't listen to any bullshit opinions about dreads because people are so generic nowadays. Everything about everyone is the same. Everyone wants to fit in, to be accepted. Do what ever you feel is true to yourself, and there will be people who accept you that exact way. Dreads dont only cause a physical change, they also cause emotional change, and personal growth. You become very tolerant with people and you become more in peace with yourself. Dreads are a big deal.
A lot of chicks dig dreads. I for one, have dreads!
I deffinately say you go for it! You're a dude anyway so you can cut them off if you really want to go be scene with the rest of the crowd.

..i don't really think they look good on anyone....except I know this one white guy...he's my friend....he looks totally hot with them on....but thats about it. Your looks kind of have to compensate for the ugly dreadlocks if you want to wear them. so my over all answer is 'not' with an exception of a few.
