I worked for a company for seven-years. My forman gets fired for some reason. I thought I was going to get promoted. It didn't happen. A newer worker comes in, gets trained from scratch and then gets promoted. That happened twice. I am single, never married, and have no kids. Is this considered discrimination? I want to know.

Not necessarily. Don't take offense, but it could be upper management saw you as having better potential for the company at your current position. Also, you have to consider it would cost less and take less time to train a new guy (maybe even one with previous management experience) than it would be to retrain you for the new position and train your replacement.
