When entering a medical field, it is a good idea to have a strong science background, in biology or chemisty. Classes in animals will be helpful as well. Like there is pre med, there are pre vet programs as well. Since becoming a vet requires advance degrees (Vets are Doctors!), you can get a masters or a PhD.
Good luck!

It's very likely that most veterinary schools don't have a set criteria for an undergraduate major. Instead they ask that you fulfill certain scientific requirements during your undergraduate curriculum. My suggestion would be looking for an undergraduate school that has a pre-vet program. This would allow you to major in pretty much anything you want while ensuring that you receive the courses that veterinary schools are going to be looking for.

Your first year choices do not matter that much. Heavy interest in biology and science will help but it is your marks more than your major that will get you into Vet Med.

You must go to a college that has a program for vetrinary medicine, generally schools like jr. colleges have a 2 yr program that can then be transferred to a University for their Vet. Med. program..

honestly a cat. because of certainty it form of feels you're into canines, it might want to be thrilling to get a youthful cat, operating party less than a three hundred and sixty 5 days, and ensure out leash coaching it. i keep in mind that sounds loopy, no matter if it quite is thrilling to be waiting to take your cat on walks and everywhere else without intending to rigidity about it getting lost. also, college is so demanding, and cats are extremely plenty self preserving see you later as you provide them foodstuff and water and scoop their field. once you opt for for to go out with associates or go someplace a pair days, you may want to go away a cat by using ability of itself, at the same time as a canines might want to wish different arrangements. Plus cats are in trouble-free terms hilarious and astounding!
