It's tough but the only thing to do sometimes is go into it.
I think everyone feels that way sometimes.
I can say that that lonely feeling isn't pleasant but
trying to cover it up can only add to the pain.
What I do is lay down and feel it. Taking the mind off
why you're feeling it and just staying with the emotion changes it, it transmutes it into something much different than how it feels when there is resistance to it. It passes on it's own rather quickly when it can flow. Emotion is energy and when energy is free to move the blockages end and there is bliss.
Basically we are always alone. We come into the world alone and we leave this world alone. So making friends with that loneliness is something very beneficial to do in this lifetime.
Great question!

I don't know your age but maybe you can take something from this.
I have been lonely from being dumped after being together for years. It took me a couple of months but I just started going to happy hour at the local clubs and just set back alone and watch tv while haveing a few drinks. before long someone will start talking to you if for nothing but what is on tv. Before long you will notice everyone in the bar is your freind and you may not notice but at first but you will start thinking about it.. Wow I am having fun. I started getting in to the tricycle races for a shot or the ladys singing would come up and set on my lap while singing. Women started asking me to dance.
I had to get out of there because it was putting a cramp in my bad mood. lol.
Really you do need to get out and find a place where you can fit in and feel needed. That is pretty much all you need is to feel needed.

Tell my self that I actually prefer the loneliness, and that I'm beyond understanding sometimes. I let my self wallow in the melancholy for a bit, then get over it. Too much of your life can be wasted with such thinking!

I write, then write some more all the while listening to music that helps to lead the loneliness in a different direction.

Loneliness is an internal conflict. You have to find that internal void inside you. Once you find it, acknowledge it, feel it, and let it be. Get to know yourself...
Wisdom starts with the knowledge of the self.

the question if we think a little differently, then there might be another question comes to us. are we really alone? I dont think so. we never be alone. we always carry some thinking with us. we always think about our present, our past and and our future. also we are dreaming about some kind of fanatacies. so how one could be alone? I often think when I become alone. also dream about something good or worst.

I go pet and love my pet rabbit-Bunny who loves me the same every day and gives me little kisses on the cheek(Before Bunny showed up in my yard 13 years ago never thought of bunnies as pets but they are so affectionate) or I pet my cat,Sweetie who I also know loves me---My animals always make me feel better for they love with no judgements for as long as I treat them well they will love me and its unfortunate that humans aren't always like that.
