It could have been an earwig, but I don't really think that they look much like a centipede. They look more like a termite. If it had more than 6 legs, it probably WAS a centipede.

The raised back end and the pincer makes it sound like a scorpion. Does it look like the one on this website?

Could be what we called an earwig years ago. If so it isn't dangerous. Just look on the web under earwig images and a pic should pop up.

I don't know. If you find out tell me. It sounds like what we have in our basement. A lot of people on this site said it was an earwig. I looked at pictures of them, but I don't think that is what it is, but if you find out let me know! Okay?

just how old do you think the beer bottle was and what brand of beer? i would suggest not to drink that brand of beer! who was drinking at work? sounds like an alcoholic Pincher Bug!
