Get ahold of various metals and some chemicals. Try mixing some but BE CAREFUL!!! Remember that a mask and gloves are neccissary for SAFETY. Also alchemy is about learning how the universe works and making it to your advantage.
Like, saltpeter and suger = LOTS OF SMOKE when exposed to flame (AKA Smoke Screen). Use it if you are in SERIOUS need to outrun some tough guys (or wiun hide-and-go-seek. XD)
You have LONG hours of work, study, and writing ahead of you. You must be dedicated to be an alchemist (Of upper class as I am).

maximum chemistry books have lots of the basic teachings and discoveries of alchemy, because alchemy changed into the inspiration for cutting-part chemistry. if you're fairly interested in alchemy, start up there and then start up searching for books on the heritage of chemistry. you're sure to stumble on some thrilling issues which may even replace the way you prepare alchemy.

Alchemy, although it is a pseudoscience and never was successful at finding the philosopher's stone, is a legitimate part of historical chemistry, and worth studying. It's usefulness is only really educational, though.

Well, hang a stuffed alligator in the ceiling of your room. Dress up in a robe with stars all over it. Get a lot of lead and sulfur, mercury, antimony, phosphorus, urine, blood, newts, bat wings, and a few other dangerous chemicals and mix them in secret formulas. Then go to a foolish king and tell him you can transform lead into gold and if he pays you five gold coins of one oz weight each you will transform four ozs of lead into gold.

Or you could realize that you are about 400 years too late for anyone to take you seriously.
