Is it in men's genetics to be with multiple women? My friend believes that men aren't meant to be faithful.

He said back in the Biblical days, many of the prophets had multiple wives and this behavior was acceptable. He also stated that in other religions and cultures such as the Mormans and the Muslims, having multiple wives is ok as well. He said that being that we are in a Western Christian society, we have been taught to stray way from this way of thinking and be with only one woman which is against the laws of nature. He went on further to say that every year there are more female babies born than male babies and that our creator did this to have more women for men to marry. He said it is difficult for a man to be completely faithful to one woman because of his NATURAL desire to have more than one woman to please him. I was blown away by him saying this andI don't neccessiarly agree but I do understand why he feels this way becasue of the facts that were stated. What are your thoughts?

your friend is an idiot, he just thinks hes a player and want everyone to perceive him as a man that get alot when in fact he sits home alone at night in front of his screen. Men can be faithful, it has nothing to do with Genetics. Genetics make up your looks and disease history...if your mom or dad has dark hair, you probably will too...if one parent has diabetes its a good chance you will get it also. Now there are exceptions to every rule but genetics has nothing to do with a mans faithfulness

He's a loser and afraid of commitment. Dont listen to him. i mean think of it this way... Would u like to marry a women who also has multiple husbens... This isnt way-back-when-everyone-had-std's, its not a religious thing anymore, its just respect.

i dont think that men should be with alot of chicks unless they are single and i think that until your married then your single
