Tell me honestly, why do married men cheat?

Married men cheat because their homelife is lacking excitement. Sometimes it has to do with having a wife who is cold and doesn't indulge in his fantasies so he finds a woman who will. Some women are so busy in their careers, that they dont even take the time anymore so he finds someone who has the energy and time for him.

because they fear death??? HA - only kidding.... I don't think it's just men. As human beings - those who cheat do and those that don't just don't. Men have a ton of excuses - from "my wife doesn't understand me to "their needs", etc. It's all BS. It all boils down to a promise you made to each other. That's the bottom line. I think the ones that DO cheat, usually with someone younger, of course, is to feel younger - or maybe he thinks he's not attractive and has to try, or maybe it's an escape from pressure of kids & family (that's really sad)... If people work together on their relationship, mentally and physically, there's no room for cheating. Typically when a woman cheats, it's for 'security' reasons - maybe the guy actually is gentle or kind so it's a new thing for her to 'feel' like a woman or maybe she's just using him - for monetary reasons - no excuse though - but the problem is still mostly with men - but women are catching up.

Wow, all these answers sound pretty good. I dont have an exact reason but I can tell you from an expereince. Men want their cake and eat it too. They want to expereince whats out their and still have the luxery of having the family life too. and its for a variety of reasons like the wifes not having sex anymore so they look else.

Married men feel trapped and once the marriage is old they want more excitement!!! Plus they feel like since its wrong that makes it more exciting. If you marry a much older man you as a young woman will alwaqys be new and exciting and always youger looking than he is. I married an older man and he spoils me and worships me and even left his last wife because she was old fat and boreing

Why do so many women make blanket statements about how crappy men are and never look in the mirror to find out what's wrong with them that they pick men who cheat on them?

because they become bored, or feel that its not working out with what they have at that time. They cant exactly tell their women that they want to cheat because it will mess up the family, and give them a bad name, and at the same time they will not have any one who cooks and cleans for them. So they go out and find someone younger, and fresh so that they can fulfil there time with that other person.

My Ex said, after 10 years of marriage, that he thought "that" was his greatest talent and he "needed" to see how he could make other women react. Uh...THAT was his greatest talent??? (rolls her eyes). :) The other excuse was that he had survived what was originally termed "terminal cancer" and felt that he just had to live to make himself happy. Nevermind the woman who stood by him during the entire ordeal. Some men are just afflicted with stupid. For you REAL men out there, we also know that there are just as many cheating women running around; sad but true.
