I liked it. Normally I don't get scared or grossed out by horror movies I quess I am to used to watching these movies since I was never able to watch scary and horror movies till I was like 18 my mom would never let me watch them but that is a whole different story. So I watch them all the time now and nothing surprises me but the part where that girl is under the street and she pokes her finger up through the grate and he clips it off with the wire snippers or metal tube cutters or what ever they were it made me cringe. I liked the movie very much I give it four stars

Obviously its a low budget film and the plot is simple.. Only the house of wax has lots of special effects nonetheless. The story has only a few thrills and the acting seems so obvious. It only gain point on action scenes when the evil tries to oudo with the lead characters.

I have seen both versions of the movie. The new one is predictably more disgusting, but it was okay. Not the worst I have seen not the best I have seen (it tends towards the prior, though).
The original is a classic. Though not scary by our definition today, it was at the time, and is a classic through and through.
Both are goofy and highly unbelievable. Personally, I would prefer to watch "The Birds" or "Susperia"

It was ok, not great! The only scene that really got to me and creeped me out was the 5 minutes or so of watching the guy torturing the kid he was getting ready to wax! Other than that...not that impressed really!

It was really predictable, and didn't follow the original at all... but it was well worth watching over and over just to see Paris get a pipe through the head.

It was worth sitting through that godawful movie just to see Paris Hilton get speared through the head with the pole.
