They recently sprayed tar on the parking lot at the apt. complex where I live and sealed the cracks with thick tar. When it got hot the thick tar stuck to my tires in globs. When I go down the highway the globs make my front tires vibrate and it's VERY annoying, so PLEASE help me rid my tires of the globs of tar!! There's gotta be something that'll get it off.

For that much tar I think you will want to use Kerosene. This is was the asphalt companies use to clean up their equipment. Bug and Tar remover is another possibility but it is not as effective. You may also need to use a scrub bush. I would recommend that you roll the tire onto a drop cloth of some sort before you start. It will be a messy job but the sooner you clean the tar off the easier the job will be.

A penetrating oil such as WD 40, Free All, Bust loose, anything that is used to loosen bolts!! Let it soak on the tar for a couple of minutes then spray again and wipe off... You may have to repeat it a few times before it is all gone!!

You might have to scrape it off with a knife. You might check with an auto detail shop and see if they have anything like a steam cleaner or a chemical that will dissolve tar without damaging the rubber on your tires. Good Luck.
