when you're young you want more control over your life (not have everyone telling you what to do).
when you're older you wish you could have the opportunities, novelties, freedom, beauty and health that come with youth.
basically when you're young, you can't wait to have a go at life and once you've had that go, you wish you could do it again...?

I am 34, which according to some would be young or old, but personally I don't want to be young again. Teenage years have to be some of the hardest with all the peer pressure and wanting to fit in. The 20s- hey, once it's legal drinking loses it's cool really fast. The rest of it is spent in a rat race job, getting married, raising a family, worrying about bills, my 30s have leveled everything off and I'm actually happier. I think that if a person can just be happy with who they are and what they have they have a good life no matter what their age is. You can't go back so why waste you time wanting to?

When you're in school, non matter is primary or secondary, you may think that the homeworks given by your teacher was a nightmare, and yet your parents may set you a time table, this cannot do, that cannot touch and so.. So you looking forward to be mature, so you can take control for all this thing.
After years, you step into the society, working for living, grouping your home, you start feeling stressful on your job, the loans, debts and many more you have to pay off. And yet many things you need to bring into consideration, and more things you need to handle... your mind will keep whispering to you that this cannot do, that is bound by laws... So you thinking to go back to your childhood, no need to think too much, and bother so many stuffs..
Actually, what we looking for is a freedom... and no burden will take your breath out off your lungs.. no mumble surrounding your ears... Get a live !!

people always want what they can't have.when you're young you can't wait to become an adult but when you've reached maturity, you realize that it's not so great afterall because as a naive kid...you didn't think about all of the annoying responsibilities that come with being an adult.so you wish that you were a carefree kid again because kids can play all day and that's considered okay, since they're a kid and that's basically their job:to play and act immature:)

when you're young, it seems like being an adult is the best thing in the world...you don't have homework, you don't get scolded, you can go almost anywhere you want, you have a lot of money, and you have a lot of power to do things...you don't know that being old means you have to deal with money issues, pride, problems (work, in-laws, family, spouse, relationships, financial, KIDS, etc), etc etc...i guess our parents don't tell us the "whole story" because they don't want to worry us....and now that i'm older, i don't think i would tell my kids the hardships of adulthood either...it would scare them....hehhe....and i'm glad my parents didn't tell me about it because its better to 'want to become old' then to 'wish you never become old'....even as a teenager, i think we strive for maturity....because it seems like being "immature'' is a flaw...and we're stepping into adulthood so we need to be mature so we can take care of ourselves.....and i think that people praise us more for being more mature....i don't know from the perspective of an elderly person....but i think that just like a child, as an elderly person you long for that same love and attention most children receive....

Adding years on, in some places you begin to squeak, ache and become tired. If only to be young again to do this, that and the other. To have the strength, the speed we once had. The energy boosters helping now and then,
before too long arthritis sets in. If only I were young again.
Things said by my grandparents and parents...get it now?

When you are young...you think it is better to be old. When you are older you realise how much easier life was when you were young.
Hindsight is 20-20.
