sorry i think i worded the question wrong. i have made and appointment already i just never know what questions to ask. i have never been regular, started when i was 10, i know i'm not pregnet, i only sleep with my husband, i'm about 30 pounds over weight and i've never been someone who has a lot of stress, i'm not asking so much for medical opinions just other experineces and advice on questions to ask.

sounds like you are a perfect candidate for the birth control pill, at least if you are wanting to regulate your period. if you are wanting to have kids, however, i would contact an OB/GYN first and see what could be the problem. could be you have some ovarian cysts or fibroid cysts in your uterus that are causing the lack of periods and then the 2-week periods...could be a hormonal imbalance, could also be stress. if you are really stressed out about having another kid and if you are putting alot of energy into worrying about whether or not youre going to get pregnant or not, this can cause you to skip a period (or 5) can can also cause you to have a period that is super long. so first go to your OB and consult with him/her and then after that, id see a fertility specialist, especially if you had to go see one the first time around.

Welcome to the world of women who have delayed mensus. Many women who start late (16 in my case) often have problems with regular mensus. There could be many, many reasons for this and only testing can determine what 'your' reason is - and what is needed to get your started. For some reason, it can occur in families where the females "all" share this irregularity, and sometimes getting pregnant can be difficult. I was on pills for 10 years. I took myself off - and at age 33 - finally conceived. Have your daughter completely examined - there are many things can cause this - however, the sooner you get the information, the better you will feel and the more information you have - the more accurate and comfortable you will feel to help educate your daughter.

First of all, see your OBGYN or your family dr. as there can be quite a few reasons this is happening.

Chances are it's nothing major. I know in some cases birth control pills are used to re-even out the cycle. Don't rely on just the information here, get to your dr. and do it soon.

talk to your OB/GYN. There are a few reasons why you would not have a period. you are not ovulating for some reason. are you over or under weight? are you exercising too much? these are other reasons why you could not be ovulating. ovulation is the only reason I can think of that should be why, unless you do not have any eggs to ovulate, but at your age, that is odd. go see your doc. good luck.

its probably because u didnt have ur period for 5 months and so it is lasting for a long time... it is normal because most women do have irregular bleeding periods... i knew someone who had their period for 2 years... it came and went and came and went constantly... they went to see the doctor and the doctor said that it was nothing and just normal.... so that is what i think is happening to u...

You shouldn't be asking people who aren't doctors that question, you should really talk to your doctor because only they can truly help you with that issue. I suggest you talk to your doctor.
