Hi, From which country. Sometime it would be cheaper to call the airline and ask them for there cargo rates. and who ever you are sending it to, go and clears themselves, and as you say its personal goods, the charges to clear should be very minimal...

i would try UPS, DHL or FedEx. just check out each of their rates online.
