I know that the earliest form of evolution of humans have begun around 5 million years ago. But when early humans evolve, the early human species are extinct. They evolve into humans(which is us). And humans, which is called homo sapiens are the only one human species that are currently here, and all other human species go extinct.

Here is my question.......
In 1,000,000 years from now, will the current human species(us) still exist while there are any other more advanced forms of human species?

I am very curious of what humanity would be like in 1,000,000 A.D.
If at the futuristic time, I wonder if there could be any non-human species that could be more intelligent than us.

The Future Is Wild, a project where scientists predicted how animals and the earth would change, figured we'd be extinct within 5 million years, if that helps. They also predicted that squid could evolve into the next form of intelligent life!

I doubt humans will be around in 1,000,000. But then again, I can't say I really care.

All I know is that my grandmother will still be here. That woman refuses to die! (PS I haven't tried, but I won't say I haven't thought about it)
