The veins in my hand move around frequently, from looking like snakes to sometimes a pretty good looking u-turn type thing. at first i thought it was just all the muscles and junk that lets my move my fingers, but i can usually push the veins around underneath my skin. Im a framer, so i do alot of hand work and so on. should this be something i need to take care of right away?

No it just means you are one of those pain in the butt patients whose viens roll away from the needle when I try to draw your blood. It's not a problem for you just for me.

when veins move around alot, nurses refer to this as 'rolling' veins. this is pretty common, especially in older people as the veins begin to lose elasticity and begin to become more fragile. it isnt anything to be too concerned about - it just may make it worse for someone drawing blood or starting an IV to actually hit the vein :)

There is nothing you can do for your veins. In the nursing field you have what we call rolling veins. It is quite common and normal. I specialize in starting IV's and I see rolling veins very often.

That is normal.

Are you sure they are veins and not big worms moving around under your skin?
