Because it diverts your sense of justice and objectivity. When emotions overpower your senses, you loose being sensible.

Envy is the love of oneself. One who is self absorbed will not think objectively. Everything has something to do with that person; I'm better than that person, I'm more good looking, etc. A person possessed of envy can rarely think beyond the scope of themselves. This hinders objectivity. One cannot think logically when their views are constrained to themselves and pertinent facts are ignored because they don't bolster the ego of the self-envier.

because people pay too much attention to how others are, they are over influenced by them causing feelings of insecurity, which, on down the line turns into that erosive behavior, envy

It creates a bias that clouds whatever you are supposed to be objective about.

because it enters through the back door, and it sort of robs your consciousness of it's ability to problem solve, and abstract think. it tugs at your heart strings, and that makes you vulnerable. it robs you of objectivity.
