I don't think the parent is to blame for this one. You can raise two children exactly alike, but they will turn out differently. Sure if the parent acts the same way, the child will learn those traits, but that's not always the case. I find that if a person is happy with their own life, and can respect themselves, they will show that outwardly; and an unhappy person will do the same. Some people are ill, some are poor, and some are depressed, etc. They feel defeated, and take it out on others. Some of these people have been down on themselves for so long, that they think that it's okay to be rude because nobody cares anyway. and this is their only defense. I'm not saying that all people with problems are rude. But most people with these problems aren't happy with themselves either. A person can't just "get happy" because they want to. Some never do.

Because they don't think of how it will affect the person they are being rude to. They are selfish, only thinking about themselves, I know plenty of ppl with the nicest parents in the world, but, they themselves just want to do whats going to make them happy, which might be doing something mean.

That depends...some people don't know any better; some people do know better and just don't care. Some people have given up trying to be decent because they feel it's getting 'em nowhere in this society.

And, sometimes, for those of us who do try to stick it out and be decent...sometimes we just get a wild hair up our rears and just get rude for a minute or two if something drives us nuts.

because they have a sense of entitlement - and an oversized sense of self importance. perhaps people have been letting them get away with it for their entire lives, or, maybe they laid claim to it, after feeling stifled by circumstance. whatever the cause, they do it because they can. i think the answer is to start honestly informing them how their attitude/behavior is being experienced. sometimes, they truly don't have a clue - and for those who do and don't care? lose them. take care!

Parents are one problem...but so is size of family.
Some families are so big now how do you expect one mom to keep track of who she scolded for what?
The moms are so tired they just laze about smoking weed and getting drunk and planning what to do later in the night.
OK!OK!OK!!!!!!!!!! NOT ALL of them but a good deal of them.
NOW for the hard working honest moms, they just are too tired from work, they don't have time/patience to teach manners and such. They barely can help teach to tie shoes or help with homework.
WHERE IS DAD?
OK many dads have long ago flown the coop or never were there at all. Some still are around but only weekends...then you got that dad for this kid and one for those two and WHO IS THIS ONE'S DAD?
You might get lucky to find A MOM, A DAD and one or two children who THEY both are certain they brought into the world...this is a rare family, indeed!
It is a 50's family and a 60's family...this family started to become rarer in the 70's!
Family units have changed a lot since the 50's when kids where polite and called their neighbors, MRS. SO IN SO or MR. SO IN SO! They boys wore ties to school and girls nicely IRONED DRESSES!
NOW boys wear baggy pants big enough to house a family!
And girls do not wear enough to cover a rat!
You have a larger variety of NANNYS...
TV Shows with people screaming at each other YOU know the ONES! YOU watch a summer of Jerry's Shows and tell me HOW would you act?

and ALL THE MEDIA...NEWS WARS KILLING RIGHT HERE IN THE STREETS!

and CABEL...the channels! The sex and that is not porno stations it is VH1 and all the RAP music stations...sorry RAP lovers, but the videos show more sex than a educational sex film in school!

WHICH has several other 'NANNY' branches...
You have a CHESTER THE CHILD MOLESTER on almost every site!
You have other KIDS left at home alone who have no clue teaching other kids STREET SMARTS and how to order BAD things on line!
Why Kids can even order drugs and sexual things on line and much much more...LOOK AT COLUMBINE! (sp? )
The list goes on and on...DO YOU KNOW WHO YOUR KIDS ARE CHATTING WITH?
NEXT, If you do not have a computer you kids are probably being cared for by the teens in the area...and who says they are getting good care or good examples set there?
LOOK at the area teens...

Pre-perverts in the making, sex is on the brain raging away!
Either they are looking at your kids as possible targets or having sex on the couch while they tell the kids to go out and play!

GANG Bangers and ex -cons...Drug addicts smoking weed and not paying attention to your little ones playing outside and suddenly get shot in a drive by! OR drown in the wading pool!

You got cutters looking through your things for anything sharp to cut themselves with...
you have bi -polars who can snap at your kid faster than a rattler after a mid-day dinner!
YOU have parents that are Religious freaks! and are too strict with kids to the point of killing them becasue GOD SAID TO!

You have parents that are on so many medications they do not even know where their kids are!
I hear adults yelling loud in public and they are just having converstions on a cell phone and the kids are all over the place!


IF I was a kid today, knowing what I know, I would kill myself!
Let alone act Mean and Careless!
KIDS have it hard.
They have no direction no ONE TO ONE parental help to keep them in line. Sometimes, NO BACK UP from PARENT NUMBER TWO!
They are cared for by so many people it is ridiculous!
NOT TO MENTION THERE ARE MORE KIDS TODAY THAN EVER BEFORE! And MORE kids acting this way is more noticeable!
They do not know what is right and wrong because one adult says DO THIS...
another one says DON'T!
and still another one says GET LOST!
OF COURSE it is parents...kids are not BORN into the world with a SET OF RULES that they understand.
They have to be Taught!
They have to examples set!
They need TIME to ask questions and get answers...
They need love
They need care
They need a healthy environment, and FOOD!
They need stability
They need guidance...
LOOK at how kids are raised today and tell me where are they LEARNING that it is wrong to be rude...where do they learn to care?
