He was a great motivational orator. His speeches would work the crowds up into a frenzy. He was a political genius. He went from a failed painter and a nobody corporal in WWI to lead Germany in a few short years.

Basically you don't grow to have the impact he had on the 20th century without having something going for him. If he were a complete loser, then he would have remained a nobody.

BTW, contrary to what "Laser" seems to believe, Hitler was anything but a military genius. He benefitted from an excellent group of generals, the best trained troops, and the best equipment at the time. If you look at the history of WWII you see that the only reason we aren't all speaking German is Hitler overriding his generals time and time again.

If by "good" you mean morally good, then that's a tougher question. Whatever good he may have done is *vastly* overshadowed by the extreme evil for which he was responsible.

I, by no means, support what Hitler did but do understand his reasoning. He was basically regulating how scummy the people are. His idea of perfection or whatever was the whole 'blonde hair, blue-eyed' thing. He disliked Jews, gays, gypsies and other people. At the time, we don't know how crappy these people were. There are some now, certain races I won't say, that somewhat bring the country down by their gun-toting, drug-using, just all around ignorant rudeness. You can call it racist or whatever but it's being real and sometimes I wish someone could control this country, as far as keeping the crap of the people away somehow. I don't know how to say what I am trying to say but I just understand that he wanted to make a respectable country by getting rid of the scum, he just did it in a terrible way.

hilter? Do you mean Hitler?

The man was crazy. He was responsible for the death of millions of people. I suppose there is some good in everyone. Maybe he was nicer as a child, before he went mad.

He slaughtered jews. He believed only the aryian race was most powerful. How would you feel if someone slaughtered your family for being white, balck, hispanic, etc...? He is good or bad depending on your believes. History and people who make history are not good or bad, they just make wrong or right choices and people always take sides. The question is who's do you take. Just think of all those familes that suffered before you answer that question. One thing for sure , if there is a hell which I don't believe so ....he is burning down there in hell.

Unfortunately, yes.

Hitler showed humans how stupid we can be. And how easy we will follow another idiot in times of fear.

Unfortunately, American humans have not learned this lesson.

As we are following a new blood thirsty individual into a war we don't agree with because we were scared of "terrorists."

One day, I hope that George Bush stands trial for all the war crimes he's committed. Or at least shoots himself before we come to get him.

Hitler actually killed fewer people then Stalin. That being said, yes there is something good about Hitler. He caused the rich Aryan Germany to thrive, and helped bring Germany up to date with the rest of the world and made it powerful. Certainly he did horrible things to himself his family and tons and tons of people, but there is good in even the deepest evil.

Well, he taught us the meaning of true evil, and showed us just how cruel we as humans can be to one another. Sadly, we haven't learned the lesson well enough, as you still see genocide and torture occurring around the world.

*sigh* I'd like to think that the human race is evolving to know better...
