I dint believe you can get just a 1 MB chip, Are you sure you need RAM???? this is the memory of your computer. When you shut down every thing that's in your RAM is deleted. I do know that older model computers had a 64 Mb and it went up to 128 Mb then there is a 256 Mb, after that is a 512 Mb then the last that i am aware of is a ONE Gig of ram, If this is the case i am thinking you need 1 Mb of hard drive space for a program, then you would do a computer clean up and if you remove enough stuff you will have an extra meg of memory on your hard drive

I think that you have the wrong idea of what RAM is! It is not used for saving stuff. It is used for processing space because in RAM electricity is needed to write and read data so as soon as you turn your computer off, everything in the RAM is wiped out.
The good thing is, it is very fast, to read and write data on it.
That is why we use Hard Drives and CD/DVD instead to save data.
To answer your question, NO, you cannot buy 1MB of RAM because there are some standard sizes they come in.

I am sure your computer has 1 meg of ram do you mean 1gb of memory? If so it depends on what kind DDR or Sdram but 1 meg is already on your computer you should have at least 32mg to 2gb check you system. Go to start then my computer right click on it and then on properties there you will see how many mg of ram you have,

You can use gmail (sign up for free using your cell phone or a friend with invites) and email the file to yourself. Or you could get a small (512 M or 1G) flash card for around $25-$30.
Gmail: www.gmail.com
Amazon (source for flash cards):
