it was an amazing movie. how that guy had to survive through manipulating the right people and knowing when to keep his mouth shut...damn. he's a fighter and so smart but most of the characters underestimated him. really really great movie.
i wish we didn't have things like that in our history taht the only time we remember them is through movies like this...ah but that's about something else.

I saw it and thought it was a very good movie. It is indeed a sad movie that is worth seeing. If you liked that movie you should check out "The Killing Fields", in my opinion, it is an even better movie that deals with a very similar subject to Hotel Rwanda.

Yes, I saw it and thought it was very interesting. It's hard to watch, but very compelling and I am sure the murders and scuffles on the street were accurately portrayed between the Hutu's and the Tutsi's.
However, the movie is based on the manager of the hotel who was not as nice and considerate as he was portrayed. People who were there say he was charging people to stay in the hotel during the massacres!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am going to Rwanda in December and will be staying in that same hotel - it's actually called Hotel Des Mille Colliens

Its a good movie. I saw it at a video rental shop and I watch it. Terribly good. It arouses the emotions of the apathetic people to the harsh realities of atrocities not only in Rwanda but also to some parts of Africa where the bloody civil war continues to sow fear and violence. It awakens the sleepy eyes of the international community to the grim conditions of people there. If only i could help im willing to do my share whenever I can.

YES! I loved it. It's really a great movie, that shows the reality of what is really happening there in Africa, and especially those nations. Is it 100% true? No way. C'mon now, hollywood made it. But it is surprisingly humane, and really makes one think. Also if you're emotional, you'll probably cry a lot... ;]

It is an excellent movie, but hard to watch. I think this movie should be shown in every high school social studies class as it brings home things that they may have read about, but can't really comprehend.

Definitely worth a watch. Not what you'd call light entertainment though.
