The best book I've read recently is called "Rescue 471, A Paramedics Story" by Peter Canning. It's an autobiography of himself. Well, actually it's mostly like part 2. The first is called "Paramedic, on the front lines of medicine." It's beautifully written with integrity. Both of these made me cry just to read them... the way both of these books are written is amazing.

Sometimes it hurts to read but you read on because you know it's not you who lived these moments. I would me honoured to meet such a Paramedic. As a 16-year-old it sure sounds weird when I say all this to my friends but then again their Hero is not a Paramedic. And to learn about him I started to study EMS, for the kicks I guess. It's interesting and awfully surprising. Most of them don't get into this career for money, nor do they expect the world to give them a round of applause. (Paramedic told me that)... I'm proud of them and I'm glad I took my sweet time to read those two books. I've learned a lot that I would have gotten bored of 8 months ago but I have a reason and I take pride in it. If I was an adult I'd quit my job to become a Paramedic... that's how awesome these books are... I'll strongly recommend them even if you don't care a bit about EMS... I'm sure you will by the end :)

Okay I better stop. I would just love to read them again...
however my sister thinks I'm going crazy all of a sudden... but she's also got her reasons since I could basically recite every moment lived in those books :)

Warm Regards!

Ted Dekker-Showdown was an excellent suspense book.

Showdown
It begins on a lazy summer day in a small, secluded mountain town named Paradise. But in Paradise, nothing is as it seems.

When a stranger named Marsuvees Black appears and announces he's come to bring hope and grace to Paradise, the town isn't sure how to respond. He offers dazzling love, hope, faith, and fun . . . the kind of fun everyone desires but is too timid to pursue. He knows the unspoken secrets of each person's heart--and has the power to grant them.

Tucked deep in the nearby canyons is a monastery long hidden from the world. Within its walls is power beyond comprehension. Yet that power is quickly slipping out of control.

As dark clouds and sandstorms shut Paradise off from the rest of the world, the unthinkable happens. Readers will be shocked as they discover the true secrets of this sleepy town. The ultimate collision between good and evil begins . . . with Showdown.

The best book I've read recently was "Wicked" by Gregory Maguire. It took the "Wizard of Oz" and put it in an entirely new light. I loved it and am working through "Son of a Witch" now, the sequel.

NOTE: Another BEST would be The Notebook. That's tangled in the faves too.
