This is a Motorola V220. Apparently a cable and software are about $65.00. Is there any way around this as it seems like a ripoff?

I might add that this is for my teen. I have a digital camera.

I guess we made a mistake because we thought that the pictures would be easily transferred (by download) not by internet.

If you don want to pay for pic transmit and if you don't want to pay for cable too, u can use infrared or bluetooth devices to transmit your pics from your mobile to mobile or PC. It is totally free.

If you don't want to pay for them then the only reason to get a cell phone with a camera would be for fun...don't buy a camera with a camera if you don't want to pay for it.

It's to take pictures when maybe u forget your camera but u have a cell phone. Maybe u get into a car accident and u don't have your camera with you, you can use your cell phone camera. I mean there are all kinds of reasons to get a camera phone and just pay to send the pictures when u really need too....otherwise don't get it if you don't want to pay. It's not a RIP OFF, it's your choice to pay or not to pay. The company is not making u pay but if u want the capabilities of taking pics and sending them then pay for it!

Camera phones are worthless. If you want to take digital images, get a damned camera. Phones are for talkin' on.
