The word intentional was used by the UN observers. Apparently this outpost has been their for years and the Israelis assured the UN it was safe.

The killing of the UN observers could be accidental. It might be not intentional. Otherwise, if investigation proves on the contrary, Israel will be castigated for said error.

I think it was unintentional.

First of all, the Israelis would never try to kill off U.N. peacekeepers....that would be so stupid.

Second, I agree with DAVEG_10....Kofi Annan is a disgrace. Do a little reserach on him and you will find he, himself, is a terrorist. He's done some bad stuff...

Third, why were they there? Don't they KNOW there is a war going on? Don't they know its safer to stay out? When did Israel tell them it was safe to go there? They did not...so why would U.N. go there? To observe? To observe what? A war? In that case, it is their own fault that they died. I mean, yea it sucks that it happened....but I pretty much know for sure Israel did not do this on purpose.

Keep in mind, a few days ago an Israeli helicopter failed, and a bunch of Israeli soldiers died(my cousin works at the same base as the ones who died...and she's been crying all week). They think it happened from friendly fire(means that another tank might have accidentally hit the helicopter).

One guy said this:

1. There should be no peacekeepers in Lebanon due to the fact that there is war going on.
2. Hezbollah is using civilians are shields.
3. Hezbollah is dressing as civilian's such as ambulance drives to avoid being attacked. (Trick is when they fire rockets from those ambulances, they get targeted)
4. The UN watchtower was being used by Hezbollah as a watchtower for them, not for the UN.

I can not believe that you or anyone else can believe that terrorist will play by any rules other then their own.

You do realize that the southern command headquarters was located in the middle of a highly populated neighborhood?

Keep something in mind, the terrorist are working a massive PR campaign against the Israeli's to help stop them from attacking.
Stop being so Naive about this and think like they would.

The isrealis are definately NOT tergeting them deliberately.
If there wwas an accident then it is possible that it could happen, but they certainly have nothing to hide, and would not do that normally.Perhaps a bomb overshot its trajectory or the observers were in a place where they were not expected to be?..............
