It feels like the tattoo is being welded on with a jack hammer fitted with a scalpel. You cannot even begin to realize how painful the top of the foot is. I had two pink and purple plumerias starting at the top of my foot and going down to the arch on the inside of my left foot. Even the artist tried to talk me out of it. I just rested my foot on his knee then gripped my chair like a serial killer with a choke hold on his next victim. It took twenty minutes and I thought that each time I looked at my foot that it had to be a clump of raw hamburger meat dangling from my ankle. But....no one could talk me out of it and I'm glad I got it done so if you really want it there, grit your teeth and go for it!

Tattoos can be painful but I;m not sure about the top of your foot. I got mine on my upper right shoulder, over the blade, in the back.

Yes. It hurts more where there is more bone and it hurts less when there is more fat where your going to get the tatoo. I'd suggest on your upper arm or you thigh.

Tatts are painful in general and whereever the skin is thinnest and over a bone, its more painful.
So you need to be sure you want it before you get it.

Thats crazy on your foot you should do it on your back or neck or arm but not on your foot.and yes its painful and ticklish.

Oh, yeah. Think of putting it somewhere with more fatty tissue and less bone.

ya it is pretty painful i had a star put on and it hurt really bad
