Here are some REALLY good, and very inexpensive ways to treat most acne at home. Try each method (unless you’re allergic to the ingredients) until you find one that works best for you. Good luck =) BTW, I know some of these may sound bizarre but try them…what have you got to lose other than the acne!!
1. Put toothpaste on your acne before going to bed. (Make sure it is paste not gel). It should reduce the swelling of acne noticeably.
2. Dab egg whites on your acne and leave on for 20 minutes or overnight. It’s supposed to pull the infection out of the blemish.
3. Wash acne infected areas twice a day with warm salt water. This reduces oils in the skin and helps to dry the acne up without further agitation.
4. Use ice on acne before going to bed. This works best on pimples that have not yet formed a head. It reduces swelling and helps to prevent scarring.
5. Wash and dab acne with cotton balls that have been soaked in vinegar. Let dry; do not wash off immediately.
6. Place strawberries leaves over your acne and the alkalinity will help to reduce the swelling.

Acne is caused by bacteria, and frequent washing of the skin would help, but it is likely you need an antibiotic and some are very effective. But first you might decide whether you have acne or 'blackheads' . Acne is a pustule...a reddened area with usually a yellow center which is treated as above. Blackheads are plugged pores that may respond well to an alcoholic face wipe and are simply black spots over the face or even on the shoulders. Both are triggered by hormonal changes in the body. Acne requires active treatment as it can cause scarring but blackheads are just unsightly.

I don't have any acne treatment at all but I used to have lots of acnes. I think you shouldn't stay up too late, you should get enough sleep. You should wash your face with some kind of foaming facial wash three times a day. My suggestion is Clean & Clear from Johnson & Johnson, it's best for all kinds of skin. That's all I do. It works.

Definitely Proactive!! I think that is the best acne treatment on the planet! Although it is pretty expensive it works! Also try toothpaste on the occasional zit. It may sound weird, but it works too.

Hi, I have a friend that has been using Clear Advantage from a company called Arbonne. She is 30 y/o and has tried everything out there and this stuff worked where nothing else did for her. You can go to www.wonderful.myarbonne.com to check it out on the online catalog. The only thing is they only ship to the US and Canada. Good luck to you.
