The state helps me a little but not enough to truly get on my feet, I'm not looking for hand-outs rather a hand up. Any info anyone can provide would be great, I have physical disabilities but it seems like most angencies funding have been stopped or depleted any advise or help would be greatly appreciated.

I guess I should be more informative, I have tried every agency in the state for help, applied for benefits and etc. but all these processes either take time or theres no funding. Trust me I havent sat idle on my rear doing nothing, I have. I'm just wondering if theres any resources that I may have not found. As far as food stamps, its about enough food to last half a month, and the food pantries give you enough food (non refrigerated) to last 3 days. Also churches CANNOT help with food unless first given authorization from food stamps and your alloted once a month help. Any new ideas my people?

If you're not worried about moving, I would suggest moving to a part of the country that is less expensive. Isn't the cost of living high there?

I found this website --> http://www.state.nj.us/humanservices/dds/

Perhaps if you called them and stated your case, they would be able to suggest several options for you. If they are no help, keep calling numbers until you can get someone with a compassionate heart.

If worse comes to worse, and invariably it sometimes does, then you'll have to DITY - do it yourself.

In that case, I would recommend visiting this site --> http://www.govbenefits.gov/govbenefits_en.portal

Or this site --> http://www.modestneeds.org/ (click on 'Apply For Help'

If you can, move to a disabilities-friendly place --> http://www.newmobility.com/review_article.cfm?id=68&action=browse

I know it would probably be difficult, and a last resort to move, but think of it as only temporary and that you'll be right back to where you need to be as soon as you are on your feet.

Best of luck and God Bless! :)

If you have physical dissabilities that provent you from working you should be applying for SSD and SSI, they will always turn you down the first time. They want to weedout the people that aren't really in need of help, so you have to appeal a few times.

Do you receive food stamps? Are you connected to food pantries? Have you applied for disabilities aid? Are you a U.S. citizen? Is there a food co-op in your area?

If you have a permanent physical disability then you could qualify for social security disability. Call your local Social security office and they'll give you the paperwork to give to your doctor to declare you disabled.

I recommend taking this as a sing to drop out of our destructive culture and emancipation from wage slavery.

You need to ask God for help. He is the only one who can truly get you up on your feet. Money, is so little compared to what God can do for you. If it's his will, God will help you. May God Bless you, and heal your situation. Amen.
