Kryptonite, Dr. Doom, Galactus took away his power cosmic, why the hell is this in the Music section? Uh, Batman has a way to beat him without using Kryptonite (it involves Captain Marvel (SHAZAM!)), so killing him would take away his powers. Magic definitely can take away his powers, as can a brain/consciousness transfer between bodies.

As others have said, Kryptonite of various colors effect his powers.
Also, in the comics the radiation of a red sun(real or artificial) can strip him of his powers. In addition, magic and mental(psychic) powers effect him like most everyone else

There are different versions of it.
Red temporarily removes Superman's powers for 24, hours.
Green can kill him if exposed too long to it.
Gold removes his powers permantly which is the answer to your question.
