Call me old-fashioned, but this seems slightly radical to be credible....thoughts?

when information from the administration is unreliable we depend on the major news services to inform us.

when the major news services become unreliable we start searching for answers elsewhere.

if we can't trust the news services 100% then we can't trust them at all because we never know what's true. maybe when everyone is lying we look to the extremes to explain it.

In a non-partisan study we found
fox = 80% of viewers held at least 1 misconception for going to war in Iraq
cbs = 71%
abc = 61%
nbc=55%
cnn=55%
print media = 47%
pbs-npr = 23%

with these kinds of results the television news media is worthless and so people turn to other sources. The news media completely failed

I personally do not get any news at all from television. I'm strictly internet now. Though I am careful of my sources and like to double check them

There are some absurd positions for which it is impossible to reference an authoritative source without having the concept disproved or minimized.

The internet has been a boon to "bad research" in this respect and the end is not in sight. If the public school teachers continue their relentless drive toward making America's young people illiterate and innumerate, then the day will come when the flakes have "given themselves" respectability, as "creation science" is trying to do right now.

George, sorry Robert M, is trying to demolish some factual and searching questions for which I have taken a lot of abuse for pointing out. The problem with the question, whilst a valid one in my view, is that the very same people who would object to these websites would watch and garner information from the Rag FOX NEWS and the misogynist Bill O'Reilly.
