Why have europeans and americans invented almost everything?

The only things the Chinese have invented are wool, gun powder, and the rocket. And why are all the great geniuses European or American? Thats all you learn about in school are successful Europeans or European-Americans. Why were the Europeans way ahead of the Africans and American Indians?

Nobody is ahead of anybody. It's just a matter of lifestyle. Inuits were happy with their Inuit tools, and they would still be if Europeans and Americans didn't turn their world upside down.

The Bushmen have invented the most perfect lifestyle to be living in the Kalahari desert, the driest place on Earth. They use hand language when hunting. That's an invention, too. CULTURE is invention.

When all the Westerners are gone, dead, look for the Bushmen, the Tibetan, the fishermen of Polynesia, etc. THEY'LL STILL BE THERE, and laughing.

Well, well, well, I certainly applaud you for asking that question.

The reason Europeans and Americans invented almost everything is because you probably went to an American or a European school. Obviously you have been taught that Europeans and Americans are better, smarter, and more enlightened than any other race out there.

Let me guess, you think that in World War I & !!, the Germans and the Turkish were the bad guys too.

If you would have gone to school in Turkey, you would have been taught that Turkey wasn't the bad guy.

The reason you think that Europeans and Americans invented everything is because YOU are never told about other cultures' success, in both the past and the present.

Today, almost all the invention (probably everything you are using in you daily life now) is "made" by the Koreans, Chinese, Japanese, and Indians. And yes, they have also made PLENTY of original inventions.

Japanese are the leaders in my opinion. Just to let you know, Japanese have wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more patents than Americans do and the also have a much higher rate of new patents per year than USA or any European country.

The answer to YOUR last question is that Europeans are not, and they were not, ever, ahead of everyone else.

The only reason it seems so is because of a policy called brain-drain. The intelligence from other countries is lured over with the bait of a better life and riches. And true, they do get it once here but obviously if a man from India does something while living in USA, the credit goes to USA, not to India even though he still may be an Indian citizen.

Second, in history, non-europeans have done a lot of stuff. In fact, the first person to truly come out with something original (and significant) was Newton who basically invented modern Physics and Calculus.

If you remember, when Europe was stuck in its own dark ages, other cultures like the Muslim Empire and the Chinese flourished. The only reason that today we have any writings of ancient greek philosophers is because Muslim scholars bothered to translate them, learn them, study them, and preserve them before stupid ignorant Europeans destroyed themselves.

Muslims invented the decimal number system used today.
That is why they are called arabic numerals.

Because the word algebra is an arabic word.

Muslims invented trignometry.
Because the words sine and cosine are also from arabic.

In the dark ages, the books used in Europe were written by Muslims. The topics included mathematics, poetry, science, medicine, and geography. Muslims were the only ones who had been as far as Far East Asia because of trade. Their empire was so vast and they had the most accurate maps than anyone else.

I mean, the Europeans were fascinated by something called spices because their own food was so bland and distasteful.

The English actually use to think (for generations) that hot water and soap is actually bad for you. They seriously thought it was harmful to human body. That is why they invented things like make-up and perfumes to hide the ugly dirty face and to hide the smell. It is well known that when royal females (such as the oh so great English queens) died, they would literally have layers and layers of makeup on their face because they would not take the old one off before putting new one on.

I mean come on, Europeans were so stupid that they thought chemistry was evil and they burned anyone who tried to do any research in science because it was against the bible and against the word of God. The church needed (and still needs) ignorant and stupid dunderheads as followers to keep their own power.

Many of the ideas were stolen from other countries and made into a Western idea or improved upon. "New and improved." Since Western powers ruled the later half of the last millenium and were expansionists many of the other countries' history were erased.

They stole the bests from those regions of the world, got them to invent things but did not give them the credit. It looks like they invent everything because they steal the glory of others (and sometimes kill them after that).
