The cost to "Pay" to attention is one brain cell per 15.994 (3) g/mol of a brain cells in a gaseous state. So when you're "Paying" attention there is multiple amounts of 15.994 (3) g/mol of brain cells being spent. However, these are replenished when attention span gets that oxygen cells and the brain can then store the energy spent on paying attention and convert this to the archives of knowledge stored in your brain depending on weather or not you paid for long term storage or short term storage. Sometimes, there is an accounting error and you may have experienced long term storage when in fact you only wanted short term storage. This is mainly realized when you've heard that pesky song and you sing it over and over and over for the next two days ... like "We are Siamese if you please ... We are Siamese if you don't please ... we are former residents in Siam ... there is no finer cat than I am" ... or worse, the "Counting Song" .

Did you spend a lot digesting that information? Hope not because I pulled 39% of that stuff off of Wikipedia and randomly mixed it in my giraffe brain .

at first, then it becomes "second nature". learning to be present and attentive is an amazing accomplishment, it is, at least, life changing/enhancing. check out www.sahajayoga.com and the book *the complete idiot's guide to toltec wisdom*. both very much on point. a word to the wise.......

Of course you do. It is a little circle. When you pay attention while driving you are constantly telling yourself to pay attention to this or to that. When reading a book you are paying attention to the concepts presented by the author and so you are detailing it in your mind, maybe even writing it down on paper and then looking again for that one thing you might of skipped because you weren't paying that close attention. Attention is certainly something that we all can pay more attention to and perhaps we wouldn't have to repeat so many of our mistakes.
