The ying and yang symbol frequently is used to demonstrate a certain ideology. It goes like this:

"Good and bad have to exist in equal amounts and in equal proportion, and inside everything that's bad there has to be a little bit of good (hence the white dot inside the black part of the yang), and inside everything that is good, you have to add a little bit of bad (adding a black dot inside of the white part of the symbol."

I first heard the explanation at a local children's festival, put on by stonecutters of a few variations. A young woman, who I knew to be a Mormon was explaining it to a child. The girl looked as wholesome as Mom and apple pie. Freemasons include the ying and yang among their important symbols.

Many of our big institutions - and the System itself - are run by Freemasons. The United Nations, NATO, major banking institutions and charities are included. How can an institution move forward on the ying and yang? Note the ineffectiveness of the UN and NATO.

Why did the United Nations fail to respond to massacres in Rwanda and Darfur, Sudan? Why is it ineffective in ending the war in Iraq and the war between Israel and Lebanon?

The ying and yang is a symbol for Gnosticism.

<<"Well in our country," said Alice, still panting a little, "you'd generally get to somewhere else - if you ran very fast for a long time, as we've been doing."
"A slow sort of country!" said the Queen. Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that."

I know it is wrong. It is a manmade philosophy. Who says there has to be balance in the universe? If there has to be balance, why did Jesus have to die? He was and is God and he suffered one for all mankind's sins. Satan (evil) and Jesus(good) are not equal and never will be, because God/Jesus made Satan. How could the creation (us or satan and His demons) ever be equal with the creator?

Some earthly examples might clear your mind of the lack of equality here. Take the nuclear bombing of Japan. Could there ever be balance there? Life for a life? Take the Holocaust as another. Who inspired that atrocity, that ultimate murderous act poured out on a people God Himself chose as the apple of His eye? Millions died for what, the hate of a madman? Balance? Where is the balance in that act?

The Bible, God's words to mankind, explain that no man can ever fully comprehend His thoughts and ways. Also, Satans, who hates God's creation (US) seeks our destruction, and even though He lets evil triumph for a season, it will eventually be crushed and atoned for. It was atoned for through Jesus' death on the cross.
The Bible says God is light and there is no darkness in Him. God also says He cannot lie. Before time / earth began, he had a plan. He saw everything that could happen and would happen. His highest created being, Lucifer, was created a free willed being, and he decided he wanted to be worshipped, and thereby plotted God's overthrow, and in God's wisdom, He cast him out of heaven, along with 33% of the angels who satan convinced he could beat God. Now enter Mankind through Adam and Eve. Made in his likeness, we chose our own way, and so have all of their children, of which we are. All of our efforts to get right with God have failed, so Jesus paid the price God demands for sin/iniquit/lawlessness. There will be a day of reckoning, where every word uttered and deed done in the flesh will be judged by the righteous judge. But rest assured, He God Jesus has spoken in that He was prohpecied to come, He came, and is coming again. The first time around was to pay for sin, the next time will be to judge the earth and it's inhabitants. To pass out of judgement, that is, into free eternal life, one must accept HIS plan for salvation. That is the only way, He is the only way, because He is the master and the way maker. He said in His word that He came to destroy the works of the devil, which in my interpretation, means to right wrongs, but He is not seeking to balance the ledger, but to allow His creation (US) to seek HIm, follow Him, and adore Him and let Him have His perfect way in and through us so that He might be glorified.

So after all that, I don not subscribe to the Yin/Yang way of thinking. I do know evil has a beautiful side, but if we follow lawlessness and do not do the saving work that God has provided - that is believe in the One who paid for your and my redemption (buying back from satan's power), we will certainly be turned away at the pearly gates. In fact, the Bible's explainiation of everything is better. Test it, God even says, test me in these things, that the truth will set you free. I would much rather believe in the omnipotence and benvelonce of an all loving god, than to think He would wink at a little evil, that He could entertain an evil thought.

Balance in the Force. Yes, one must attain balance between the Light and the Dark in order to achieve illumination.
