Went off the beaten path today from a road well traveled, ended up in the mud. I like to take the road well traveled to the destination, then pack in. Gotta eat first and bring the cell phone.

Depends, If I'm going someplace and have to get there at a certain time, I take the road well traveled. But, If out for a drive or on a trip and aren't on a schedule ( I hate schedules) I go off the beaten path, you never know what you'll find or see, it can be a great adventure. Or like most things, depends on my nood.

Although I believe in the road well traveled, I tend to go down the beaten path, but everytime I do, I get screwed along the way.

It depends on where I'm going. If it's somewhere I'm familiar with I'd take the road well traveled. If it's an adventure or somewhere I haven't been before I'd take the beaten path.

Off the beaten path. The road well traveled is way too crowded. It is too touristy.
