mmmmmmmm, maybe what we feel is a sense of loss because we did not take the opportunity we were given to have it. We basically lost that chance.
How can you feel loss for something you never had ??
You didnt have it in the first place, so how can you even tell you lost it ? I think not !
If you buy a lottery ticket with a chance to win the jackpot, and you dont win it, does that mean you lost all that money? It only means you didnt win !

i never had a family of my own growing up, i lived in foster homes
when i went over a friends house and saw what a real family was like; i missed out. I did for a very long time felt very, very lost.
I can't say that this feeling has gone away, but i have learned to cope. I have a family of my own now with my husband, iam very lucky....but yet;there way down deep.

I was just talking with hubby about this very thi ng this morning.
There is someone very near and dear to my family, but he died before I was born. He was a wonderful man and whenever I see a video of him or pictures, I feel like I really miss him although I never met him.
Its a strange thing...

Yes, and the heart can even grieve for it, too.
