I cannot remember where, but I do remember reading about a couple of scientists developing a "cloak of invisibility," though not like the one's you read in books. it would be heavy and have to obviously cover you from head to toe. it involves using light absorbancies or something along those lines. if this is an honest question, you may want to look it up if interested.

There's no science or trick to becoming invisible - just make the effort to blend into your surroundings... like a chameleon... and not draw attention to yourself.
And I'm not being facetious - "magicians" practiced this centuries ago and confounded the masses. Ever been to a party and found out later there was someone there whom you never saw? The wallflower has mastered the art of invisibility. Just try it, you'll see what I mean.

close your eyes!
Seriously though, great leaps have been made in this field. As a previous answerer mentioned the bending of light rays. Thi shas worked with some success. Bearing in mind we are only talking about non military science.
The underground scientific experiments carried out are far beyond comprehension as they utilise energy and technology us general folk consider to be impossible or science fiction.
Teleportation, harnessing earth energy field for levitation/flight. And th elist goes on, often into what we call conspiracy theory territory. Its a good way to throw people off the scent.
Good luck

yes .the govt is very close (probably have it ).they would coat an aircraft skin with thin panels that are tied to an advanced computer that "reads colors, hues, and shadow"above the aircraft.this info is then transmitted to the panels on the underside of the craft.those panels in turn refect the color, hue,or shadow directly above.from the ground the aircraft would appear invisible.there was an article a few years back in popular science or popular mechanics .hope this helps.

actually, what i heard so far,
the invisibility trick is quite simple.
infact one xperiment put a couple of cameras an lcds.
the two cameras where placed in the front and back of the head.
while the lcd on the chest and at the back shows the reverse side of which camera is taking the shot.
the front camera displays what its capturing on the back lcd.
and the back camera displays it on the front lcd.
looking at it, you can attain the invisibility trick. anyone could actually see right through you.
kewl.

yes... I think it can... there have been some experiments on it... it's like making the protons (or some part of the atoms) like mirrors to eachother.. so it actually reflects the image that's behind the object... aka: you don't see the original object a.k.a. the object's invisible

They are already having great results in labratory experiments in the field---it entails the bending of light rays around the subject
