Why is it all of a sudden almost all european nations are deciding to be like america and accept immigrants?

but asian countries remain culturally homogeneous. Why is that? Who decides if there should be immigrants? And do the people of Euroepe want immigrants?

America may be an unpopular country. But, there is no denyng the fact that immigration is what is making it a dynamic country. With immigration, they are getting the best minds from all over the world, including from Asia, where some of the brightest people in the world are (that is why China and India are driving the world forward today). If Europe also opens up, it can only help a continent that seems to be slowly on the decline today.

Low birth rate. Most Western European countries are having one or less child per couple, so these countries will be empty plots of land with no people in a few generations if they do not permit immigration.

China has over two billion people, and a forced one child per couple policy to try to reduce the current overcrowding situation.

lol.. Australia has been accepting boat people for god only knows how long...
It drives me insane when we have all these people waiting to come to Australia to get refugee status who are in dying need of help, and then these people come over on boats, who are better off then the ppl already waiting, and because of this these people coming here, the worse of people have to wait whilst all these new people are processed.. Its a JOKE!! AND THEN they complain because we put them in a refugee camp and they dont like it, they are given 3 meals + a day, a bed, heating, water, TV's DVD players etc.. And they complain and go on riots.. HELLO YOU CAME HERE ILLEGALLY THAT IS WHAT HAPPENS TO ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS!!
When the boats are spotted they are told to go home and if they dont they go to refugee camps... its our law.. deal!
