There are Manny factors in this fact it could be not the way you look, sometimes its a way a man acts or treats people around themselves and has that certain air about this person and yes the other side of the question is yes being good looking does hold the another fact but being good looking on the outside and being good looking on the inside is the deals of a lifetime

First and foremost, you have to fit the mold of what women think of as hot. The next most important thing is fame. Then there are a variety of things that can make a guy attractive, none of which are known to me. But...if you are tall and thin and fit the mold of what most chicks think a guy is supposed to look like, then there will be plenty of girls that think you are hot. Your "friend" probably doesn't think of you in those terms at all.

Well, if your an Attractive young man, then of course, your going to get noticed, more than your friend....But, being noticed, is like looking at a "Peice of Fine China, or Famous Art", it doesn't make the person... Unless its also, within.. And some people are very intimidated, by good-looking people.. So, much, that sometimes, its the friends that aren't so good looking that get the dates, and married... Whereas, the "Good-Lookers" can have a tendency to not get as lucky, except for "One-Nighters", you know what I mean.... Alot of women, prefer men, who, have it within, rather, than, a man, who's always going to be "Noticed" every where, they go together as a "Couple",, It doesn't usually last as long, for the Good Looking people, if the mate, cant take all the attention.. It makes them feel a bit insecure, about their relationship, simply because, an attractive male or female can come off as "Fair-Game" to the other person... Which doesn't give the other mate, a "Secure" feeling about the relationship, for fear, that they can easily get anyone they want, and one false statement and they could be "Gonners"...... Or like they always have to overcompensate, to make sure they keep that person in their lives, to the degree that they loose their own sense of "Self" behind their partner.... I hope you understood what I'm saying.......Because, life's not fair sometimes,, I've been on both ends of that stick.... That's why I just stay "Single", in hopes to get my two teens, grown-off, then, take my time, finding a "Book-worm" type......That will, be willing to date a woman such, as myself.....Even if I have to dress down, and buy glasses myself in order too get his attention... Next time I commit, its going to hopefully be, one "Real" relationship, one that will hopefully last me into my old age... And, I dont care about "Looks", I want a man who knows how to open car doors, who, likes, not being a "social butterfly"....Whos very "Low-key", like I am.. And just loves the "Outdoors" as much as I do.......Who doesn't drink, or do drugs.... Whos easy to please, and just as "Giving" of himself, as I am.. And who loves, to shop, right along with me! Smile.

Girls like tall, dark and handsome guys, and most of the time they like blue eyes. Brown eyes these days are alright, but what does your friend look like? Does he have a pizza face? If so..there's your answer. But if not, I'd go with the way he acts around people and how he dresses.
