I would never say anyone thing is better than another. Preferred perhaps by some. Is chocolate cake inherently better that lemon? a chocolate cake lover would say yes, but not a lemon cake lover. The point is that I agree with most respondents that in general 2006 cars have improved safety and mechanical features. On the surface this may make them seem better. however when one of these new and improved systems/features requires repair and the cost is great, this "better" fades in a hurry and is quickly replaced by the worst situation, a hefty repair bill. For example I had a Neon. I really liked that little car. It had airbags for driver and front seat passenger safety. These are one item cited as a major improvement over earlier cars that didn't have them.Someone backed into it a mall and the accident caused the airbags to deploy. the body was easily repairable. However, the cost of replacing the airbags doubled the cost of repair and thus exceeded the limit the insurance company was willing to pay. So they totaled the car. Improved safety yes. Better for me no, at least not cost wise. to sum up, terms like better and worse are really opinions, and are ambiguous at best when applied to most things.

Yeah the 06 model year car is better than a 96, advances in tech since, bugs and kinks are worked out.

Yes, I believe so. 1996 was the first year on most vehciles with that OBDII setup on the computers in the cars.

for me 2006 are better..
but only one car BMW 320i coupe is not...
i dont like 2006.

'06 cars have more technological features and safety features - in other words, are safer cars to drive. (and, besides which look much nicer?!)
