I'm looking for a name for a fictional street. The name needs to have something to do with a friend who is also a lover (a name from a story about something like that, whatever). I'm not very good with mythology or languages, and this stuff's kind of hard to look up. Does anyone have any ideas?

Also, I need to name a mountain pass. That name needs to signal bad, or perilous, or perilous but worthwhile. (As in, the crappy part you have to go through to get to the gold mine kind of thing).

Thanks guys.

Mythological names are suitable offerings - acquainted, however no longer overused. But one does have got to be wary approximately deciding on the correct names. Some mythological characters effortlessly have complicated pasts - Medea, for illustration. Others positioned an excessive amount of stress in your little one - Apollo and Venus, for illustration, had greater under no circumstances have an ungainly segment. Of the ones you record, Athena, Selene and Persephone might paintings. I suppose Ocean is excellent for a boy, however Oceanus a little bit a lot. Try this:

1. pick out the meaning of your name in English
2. Pick out a really cool sounding language, very different from your own--Gaelic (really musical sounding) and Russian(a little harsh) are very good for this. So is Hindi (can be long winded).
3. Get a translation guide(you can find these online) and translate your names into the language of your choice.
4. Insert capital letters as needed.
