well if you are a dude, no one wants to see your nasty feet for 1. and do you want to sign a release form everytime you go somewhere saying you will not sue? only gurlz can go barefoot, with no waiver

Because you COULD sue, even if you say you won't. It's their store, and you could get germs and grossness from walking barefoot. My aunt went barefoot into a gas station bathroom when she was 10 and she had a fever of 105 for about a week. Plus, your feet could stink and no one wants to smell it.

It's their store, they make the rules. If I didn't have problem feet and have to wear orthotics I would go barefoot a lot more. Used to do it all the time when I was younger, even in the summer on the hot asphalt parking lot at the mall, and burned my feet but it was my own fault, not the asphalt

Even though you might not sue, they have to make rules for the 'lowest common denominator' and in the retail business, that's going to be people that want to sue just to get some money. So instead of trying to work on a case by case, they just make rules that work for the most people and them, which means no shoes, no service just to cover themselves from liability.

I have also been asked to leave Dollar General stores when barefoot. I always finish my shopping, then I leave, but I don't make a fuss.
I get annoyed by their stupid reasoning "something could fall and you could get hurt"
Okay, so the 9,000 people who came in today wearing stupid flip-flops are better protected than me how??

Have you ever heard of hypodermic needles? Yeah. You don't want to get HIV or a ****** up foot just because you wanted to be barefoot, do you? It's for your own good anways. You probably may change your mind if you are diagnosed with some sort of illness.

I have read the responses from people and I really marvel at what little conformist pussys you all
are , worried about health hazards and germs, Your feet get washed everyday, your shoes on the other
hand never get washed, I can only imagine the germs and bacteria tracked into stores by these lazy
people who never wash there shoes, but more importantly it is about freedom , I like walking barefoot
and I feel I should have the right to do so after so many have given their life in wars so that I can be
free. So it's okay to murder an unborn child but oh my god look at that woman who just walked in here
barefoot , somebodys got to do something this is just terrible , I think shoes are horrible ugly and
unnatural appendages that mutilate feet and inhibit walking. We live in a very dumbed down world
where everybody moves and thinks in unison never thinking for themselves believing all the bullshit
that is fed to them just like little stupid sheep. Feet were designed to be unshod. So few people have the
courage to go barefoot allthough many would like too , in public that is. It's like being in this big sandy
desert and theres this one beatifull flower and some one comes along and says oh my god what is
this doing here and pours poison on it. How many people would like to have to wear gloves when they
go shopping because they might spread their germs because you watch people in a grocery store and they
handle everything always touching touching everything with their dirty germy hands.

Look if you want to do it that's fine but business are concerned about health issues and maybe being sued if you get hurt. Carry your shoes along and when you need them you will have them

because people have fungus and other foot bacteria which I don't think you want to get and walking barefoot makes your feet hard and crusty another thing I don't think you'll like
