I think some people simply aren't ready to go to college directly from high school. Sometimes people need to experience life, decide what they want to do for the rest of their lives before going to college. What people need to realize is that they can always go back to school. It's never too late. Some people get much better grades in college and are more focused as older adults than they did as teenagers.

I think people generally drop out of college because of lack of focus. Teenagers sometimes are going to college only because somebody else wants them to so they do not have the inner determination to succeed. Without an inner need for success, there is no focus on goals. Many have to take many years to mature before they realize the importance of an education.

They say in America, it is easy to get in college but very difficult to graduate. Maybe people just can't take the course load.

I never dropped out. I think that most of it is due to insecurity, laziness, and boredom. Most who drop out, do so with an excellent GPA.
