Humans are afraid of the unknown, it's pretty much nature. So since not much is known about death itself, I think that is why most people are afraid of it. That's why I'm afraid of it. Also I think the idea of your existence coming to an end is saddening. But if that is true, then death is not painful and does not hurt anyone emotionally who goes through it. But overall I'd say since it is the unknown people fear it.

Am I ready to die.....Nope. Am I afraid to die....nope. I believe there is more after this life. I may not know exactly what that is, but i believe there is something bigger and better.....(call it whatever you like.....God, Buddha)
Besides...if I'm wrong...what difference does it make?? I'll be dead, it won't much matter! Now, doesn't that beat the hell out of everyone else that's afraid?? Besides, I've watched people suffer before dieing, and i can tell you....there are worse things than death.

Not afraid of death. Because it is a natural thing that all bodies go though. Not to mention all life is eternal, so I will be connected with the universe again.

Death is such hard thing to understand but it is one thing that is certain that there is light at the end of the Tunnel. Afraid no because when it is our time to go it our time. God needs to use us in different ways through life journey and I have personally experience death it is hard emotion but people are not suffering when they go. They are at peace.

No, I don't fear death. Death is not painful, the events leading to death might be. As a person dies their body begins to shut down and as the brain dies one experiences a bright light seemingly at the end of a tunnel and as the light begins to dim you pass into enernity, never to return.

It really does not matter if you die, because you won't be around to know that you died. being dead is the same before you were alive. do you remember what life was like before you were born? that is exactly what death will be like. so don't worry. we all have to face it some day. why procrastinate

I am not afraid for myself. I am afraid of who would take care of my daughter. I want to see her in heaven someday and I wouldnt want her to loose faith because i was called home to the father.

I am because I am not sure what to expect. Nobody has come back to tell me what it's like to be dead.

I do have a pact with some family members - whoever dies first will come back and let the others know what it's like...I told them they could only visit me during the day!
spooky...
