How can you not be excited for 2006 with a new head coach Herman Edwards and acquisition of Law at cornerback to shore up a weak defense? Edwards is a proven leader and soon will make the Chiefs a contender just like he did in New York.
The Chiefs will coninue to provide lots of scoring on offense but a new defense will propel them to the next level into the playoffs.
The Kansas City Chiefs, with a shored up defense thanks to the signing of Ty Law, are my favorites to win the AFC West if only due to the experience they have at key positions on both offense and now on defense.
The only questions I have about any group of Chiefs is with their linebackers, who drastically need to improve their play to help this defense become something special, which it could be. If the linebackers can pick up their socks, the leadership of QB Green, TE Gonzalez and the extraordinary rushing prowess of uber-back Larry Johnson should propel this team to a playoff appearance.

I think they did. Law is reunited with his coach Herm Edwards, and this is a team that needs serious help on defense, and I think Law is the perfect guy to do it.
