together let´s say once a month, any suggestions on how to succeed in such endeavor because i hate to hear them say "O.K. call me next week to see if were available...", "My wife wants me back at 10:00pm sharp!!::!

Include the wives/girl friends as we do. Works very well. Do things that the wives/girl friends can enjoy while apart from the guys. You'll need one of the ladies to provide some leadership to arrange for those activities. Also, is monthly too often? That might be the issue. Good luck!

Try starting a poker group. If there are say 4 guys each guy host a poker night each month. The guy who is hosting orders the pizza and buys the beer.
