Neutrogena. It's the best there is. Try using their wet/dry foundation, that will take care of the cakiness.

I don't really use foundation too much. Just a little eyeliner and some tinted lip gloss is enough to make my features pop (subtly).
Loreal is a pretty brand but makeup should never feel cakey. Bleh.
You don't need foundation all over your face.. and it is okay to slightly water it down to make it more transparent. Don't put the water in the bottle but pour some makeup into your hand then sprinkle a little water. Another trick is to first moisturize. When you have wiped off the excess, mix a little moisturizer and makeup together to get a subtler effect. It really should make a difference. It will also be easier to go back with a makeup sponge and add more makeup (straight, not mixed) where you need it.

OH YES! It feels like I have nothing on. I wear Bare Minerals. A friend MADE me order it. I was an Estee girl, and too much of a snob to buy my makeup from an infomercial, but it was recommended to my friend's mother-in-law when she was being treated for cancer. Seems there's no artificial ingredients in it, and it's the only makeup recommended by the Cancer Society. I only bought it to shut her up so she'd stop harassing me to try it. I LOVE IT! It's the lightest weight, best makeup I've ever had! You *really can* sleep in it! Since it's nothing but minerals, you really can be lazy at night and not remove it. It won't break you out at all! You can get a heavy look if you want it, but if light is what you want, I think you'd really enjoy it. They carry it at Ulta's and Sephora's if you want to check it out first. Start with the starter kit as opposed to buying the pieces individually. It's a lot cheaper that way. Just be sure to get the right colors for your skin. The boxes come in light, medium, etc. After that, you'll get used to it and you can pick and choose individual items. A little goes a LOOOOONG way. It will last you forever. Also, their brushes can get pricey if you buy them individually, but they're the best I've ever had! (Check out the "True Gold" eyeshadow!)

I love Bare Minerals. It covers well, and feels like I'm not wearing any makeup. And it doesn't have a smell. If I ever wear anything else, I can smell it on my skin. And it gives a beautiful finish. Some people I know have asked me how I have such great looking skin without wearing makeup! I can't say enough good things about it. There are other mineral based makeups that I hear are good as well.

i use neutragena....it's oil free so it feels lighter on the skin...what makes makeup feel so heavy is the stuff that's in it....oil, preservatives, etc. these things also clog pores and cause breakouts....neutragena is more expensive, but as long as you get one that's oil-free, you can use any brand. try it out, see if you like it...they have foundations, blushes, lipsticks, eyeshadows and liners and mascaras....get the ones that are oil-free and you shouldn't have that cakey, weighed down feeling....the majority of the line even have an SPF 15 in the makeups and also after you wash your face, use an oil-free moisturizer on your face and neck...this will prep your face for makeup and the skin won't absorb as much of the makeup, so you'll use less because it will spread more evenly.....i use the neutragena spf 15 moisturizer with a light tint..but there is one that is untinted as well. hope this helps!

Sheer Cover
I ordered it off of gunthy renker
They have an infomercial i watched few weejs agi and decided to try. Now that I've used it, I can't believe I ever used foundations, or cakey powders. The mineral powders are amazing, it's like magic the was it covers every inperfection. Just remember "Medium" is for most skin tones. It's worth the money & you have 60 days to decide to keep or get your money back. It's worth it, I have really uneven skin tones, & bright rosey red cheeks. This is the simplest & most cover I've ever had. Id minerals is good too.

I normally go for tinted moisturizers or the sheer formulas for foundation. I live in Singapore and the weather here is really humid so there is no point wearing makeup that's gonna melt off.
I usually use brands like Bobbi Brown, MAC, Stila - because they carry a wider range of shades than the drugstore brands like L'oreal and Maybelline, plus I get to test the shades out.
I highly recommend you try Prescriptives because they custom-blend a lot of their products so they'll make your foundation exactly to your specifications. Their Traceless range is also good - your makeup will really look flawless.

Everyday Minerals at everydayminerals.com. The company sends samples for free. The minerals are the purest in the market and unlike others, such as Bare Escentuals, they do not contain Bismuth or other elements that can be irritating to skin. The prices are awesome too.

I use Clinique concealer and base. I have really oily skin and tend to be more breakout prone, and it works the best for me. It never feels heavy or thick and I rarley ever have to touch up. It's a bit up there in price though. Go talk to the ladies at the Clinique counter and see if they would give you some samples to try. They have all different types.

Mary Kay is wonderful makeup. If you have money to keep up buying it. It can be very pricy. There is a newer brand of Make up I use called. Rimmel. The base is wonderful...The blush is awesome as wellas the mascara... The powerd is good but they dont offer a loose powder yet..
Plus its cheap.. a tube of base coat for about 2.50 cant beat the value

I use Bare Minerals and I love it!! It feels like you have no make-up on and your face doesn't look all cakey plus it's very good for your skin.. I used to use make up that you can buy in a dept. store but they all made my face breakout since I have been using Bare Minerals my face has been very clear..
