I think it is best that you consult your own doctor. That way, you do not unknowingly put you and your baby at risks when you take the right medicines. :)

Chewable Vitamin C!! Chew one tablet every hour or so until you don't feel any symptoms! It is a natural cure!! AND you can't overdose on this! Your body gets rid of it when you have too much!! My son was sick and I woke with a sore throat, I ran to Whole Foods bought some VIt C and started to chew it all the time..Knock on wood, I haven't gotten sick yet...it's been almost 2 weeks!!
My girlfriend who is also a Doula and pretty well educated on this type of thing tells all her clients this!!!

Try it!

I would hate to tell you the wrong thing so I'm not going to tell you a medicine.

But what I KNOW is safe, is some nice tea with honey in it. It will soothe your throat. I'm sure cough drops are safe too, I'm just not sure about cough syrup because of the alcohol...a pharmacist would know though.

When I was pregnant, I tried to avoid medications at all costs. I tried a lot of natural healing. I have found that gaurgling (sp?) with warm salt water or Cepecol does wonders. Also, drinks lots and lots and lots of water, it helps to flush everything out of your body. Hope you feel better!
